Dispel, cure and teleport can be game winners. Problem is, water doesnt give you anything for movement like earth and air does. And taking water will often make it harder to get both earth and air.

It is a somewhat hard decision in a newbie tournament. As long as he didnt get any important information by attacking, you could also decide to load the game and correct the mistake. Mistakes happen, an instant loss is a high price.
